I purchased this Sue Ross Kaleidoscope from a private seller. It was missing it’s base. They purchased it at an estate sale along with several others. It is signed with an etched heart, Sue Ross 1990.If anyone could help me find the name I would dearly appreciate it. It is too beautiful to be hidden from the world. I searched the internet for a year and a half to find anything about this masterpiece of Sues’. To determine what base it MAY have had was a struggle. I settled on a Tiffany reproduction cattail base similar to Sues Paisley Fuschia which in a photo I found appears to be as large as this one.She had painted that one white./light beige? I chose to keep the base I found natural to match the patina on the soldered parts of the scope. ( I bought the base in separate pieces that I found on three different Ebay sites and assembled it. It is the PERFECT height to display and view the breathtaking images of the large oil and glass filled vessel.
If anyone can add information to this beautiful mystery please contact me at Sandideer@tds.net.Thank you.I would dearly love to know the story behind this kaleidoscope masterpiece and what Sue named this incredible work of art!Thank you so much.
