Pastelation was part of the “For the Love of Color” series. It was an open edition. My scope is signed on the black end of the cell “S. Knapp 05 #52”.
It was a painted PVC body scope with anodized aluminum ends to complement the color of the body. For Pastelation, the color is a reddish purple with matching anodized ends. The turning end has a fluid filled cell with a black background and dichroic filters. The ends of the cell are lightly ornamentally turned with the turning extending down onto the clear sides of the cell. The cell contains flame worked glass, dichroic and two stringerinies.
It has a 2M/6P mirror system.
Note: 2 of the four scopes in this series had fluid filled cells and two had dry cells. The ornamental turning on the end of the cells was different depending on whether the cell was dry or fluid filled.
